The Problem With the Characters in the Movie

The movie was obsessed with the music, which is weird to say. Like it is a movie. It's not a music video. And so what I mean is that in the minutes that they spend, like again, it feels like almost half the movie is spent watching this band play. But you don't keep showing them play different songs for four minutes, you know? You could have had more story and not just let's watch the band play.
