Stonehenge - The Cursus
There's no reference to Stonehenge in any classical writer. There are references to it in the 12th century. manuscript illustrations that clearly show Stonehenge. Another curious element of the wider Stonehenge complex lies on public land 700 meters north of the circle. The Cursus is almost two miles long and 150 meters wide. But nothing can tell us what it was for.
