The Importance of Education in the Age of Disability
When she was in high school, Judy decided that she wanted to be a teacher. Her friends told her they wouldn't support her if she went through with it. She took education classes as a minor and passed all three tests for the teaching license. "I don't know anybody else who is a teacher who got their license using a wheelchair," she says.
