Is There a Right Ending to the Story of Jesus?
There's a deep tension between what we might think of as the rational and the irrational. In the story of Jesus the expectation about what is wise and what is strong is turned on its head. Life is kind of full of all sorts of vagaries and uncertainties and unpleasantness, says David Walliams. But there are interesting little things like an amulet that has been inscribed into it by someone who carries this around with them when they die. I am the son of earth and starry heaven but my race will come to us one day," he adds.
