The Importance of Listening to Alternative Voices
In the 1980s American diplomats and even American Secretary of State like George Shields were very good listeners right. For some strange reason the current members of the American establishment have lost the heart of listening or even going out to listen to alternative voices so for example you have a summit of democracies right of hundred and hundred and forty countries I'm not sure whether they understood all the messages that were coming through at them from that conference. The U.S. will come to realize that it has to play a much more sophisticated and new landscape in Asia, Kiesen says.
