N again, it depends on the size of your team, but i think engineering teams are best when they're relatively small. Bring that person on and have them be the main person who the junior developers learn from and follow. Another good example would be like whats ap. I mean, whatap was able to build a a system that worked at great scale without having to have a whole lot of engineers on board. It is good to have some outside expert though, to kind of shake things up so your organization doesn't start drinking too much of their own cooled, so to speak....
