Germany spent €10 billion for Intel to set up a battery plant there. That works out at roughly €1 million for each of the 10,000 jobs it will create. IMF and others are warning about something called economic fragmentation. The poorer countries won't be in the game to get some of this big, high-tech, high-value-add stuff.
