The most common reaction that we all have, you don't have to be a child to experience it, is a painful arm. And in terms of expected side effects, it really again depends upon the person because some people feel nothing and other people may feel a little bit tired or under the weather. This is a good time to just slip in that rather than tell your child if they're getting a vaccine, it's not gonna hurt. You're much better off saying planning in advance and helping them understand what it might feel like very quickly. The kids also may experience a little bit of a painful arm, but that the common side effect from any vaccine.
