The Great Salt Lake

The great salt lake has been shrinking for the past three decades. Right now, it's at its lowest point in recorded history. A lot of the water that should be going into the lake via rivers and streams is instead getting pumped into crop fields, golf courses and lawns. As the lake dries, it'll destroy an entire eco system, starting with sea monkeys,. The brine shrimp are also a critical food source for millions of migrating birds - without those shrimps they'll die.
