The Christian Critique of Modernity
I want to look at a little bit of a background intellectually and touch base with a few arguments and orientations which can throw light on our present conundrum. While I was in prison I read a book also about Habermas who's a sort of continues this this theme his German philosopher in the post-war period. There's two arguments in this critique one argument is that if we lose God there's no reason why we should be moral because everything's relative to this deck so you've got Nietzsche with the death of God's this is an ongoing theme in Western culture. Both of these ideas from this religious critique of modernity point to the idea that society loses its marbles
