The Dangers of Phospho Gypsum

Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill which allows roads in the state to be made with radioactive mining waste. The measure adds phospho gypsum to the list of materials state officials say can be used to build roads. EPA says the substance is potentially linked to cancer and describes it as radioactive. It does have trace elements of radon, which is a naturally occurring carcinogen, doesn't make it less carcinogenic.
