We need to prepare for those moments when we're likely to get triggered. We want to cultivate mindfulness and intentionality, who do i want to be in this relationship? And if we do that ahead of time, and we do that off in therapy, then in those we prepare for those moment when our migdal is going to get all reved up. For all of us, with two years of a pandemic and an incredibly uncertain world, our zone of tolerance is certainly more narrow.
