The Importance of Patterns in Programming
Ruby is a programming language popular in Japan, but little known outside of the country. Ruby was designed to be able to work with languages other than Java and PHP. It's been called "the world's first web framework" by its developers. The project has spawned some imitators such as Groovy on grails for instance.
