The Demand Reduction in the European Gas Supply
The German gas price break was designed in a way that maintains higher prices while avoiding peaks. This is not a general phenomenon, it's sort of basically country specific. In certain countries you had these regulated prices at a level for most or the 80% of the consumption to incentivize the demand reduction as in the case of Germany. But in other countries, you have seen more temporary measures. So overall, I think all governments need to think twice about how to keep incentivizing that.
