Are We on the Cusp of a New Era?

MGI recently published a paper which asked, are we on the cusp of a new era? So we looked at post-war history to try and ascertain what today's turbulence means. And we found three similar periods that we call earthquakes. The Great Depression or 1914 is kind of the scariest one to use as a counterpoint.
