TikTok CEO Yiming's Response to Alex Drew's Question

TikTok CEO Alex Drew says he's not the absolute head of the company. He is ultimately still reporting to Yiming, who has never been in charge of day-to-day operations at TikTok. To try to smooth things over in Washington, Yiming sent Alex to speak directly with politicians and convince them that TikTok wasn't an nefarious actor. At the last minute, Alex got cold feet and didn't show up.
