The quickest way to get a room of people to trust you, whether they agree with you politics or not, is to make them laugh. And so that you can absolutely use humour to bring down people like boris johnson. What worries me about our current approach as the labour party is that we have lost any sense of puncturing with humour and only ever try and just holier than thou. i think that the public can't see it, whether they can hear a joke.
