The Relationship Between Explanation and Understanding
An explanation is, in some sense, yes, not merely. You can have a good explanation without really understanding it. And you can have a sense of understanding a when the explanation isn't really an explanation. So i don't think am, just having the explanation is enough. That is, there's more to understanding than doing that.
