Lumen was one of those social theorists who was also extremely empirical. He conducted a large quantitative survey that he conducted on reforms of public administration in Germany. And he was also very much an ethnographer, you know, traveling the world and trying to see things for his own eyes. The book project is then also meant to kind of showcase more his empirical thinking.
