How Old Are You When Your Grandmother Starts Telling You This?
The author's grandmother would talk about how her sisters practised witchcraft. They lived on a small farm in rural eastern kentucky, and she'd tell stories of being woken up by one of them telling her that their cow was going to die. She didn't know what astral projection was or any of that kind of thing, so she didn't say they would astraly project they were in a totally different county. As a kid, as a kid, you find that fascinating. But then more stories and experiences you have with your family history, it starts sinking in your like, oh, this might be a lifelong thing.
