The rockifelle foundation has launched the global energy alliance. The aim is to bring together philanthropy and development finance institutions in a way that hasn't been done before. It's not just about getting universal energy access, it's also about inclusive energy transitions which will take 20 years or more for many countries according to founder Annara Ogunlesi. She says: "We've never had that level of unified, sort of collective action across philanthropy before"
