The Sympathetic Nervous System
The sympathetic nerve system got its name from a response to the environment. When you get scared, your pupils dilate and blood vessels for your peripheral supply shut off. This allows more light into your eyes which makes sense in a stressful situation. The parsimtheti nervous system is located anatomically outside or beside the sympathetic nervos system.
