Transplanting Pig Organs
Pig organs have been touted for years as possible substitutes for human organs, but it's only just happened. The big question has always been whether they can this without triggering the persons immune system to immediately start attacking the heart. Several groups have been trying for years to breed these special, genetically modified pigs so that the their tissues can be accepted by a human immune system. In the end, the company that is behind this first transplant tey. They've changed ten geans in total in their pigs. But i think we still don't know yet whether it will be enough to control the immune response.
