In Luke 8, it says that there were just a ton of people, great crowds, from all of these villages. Jesus comes up to the crowd and this is how he addresses them. He goes, I spoke to them in a parable so that they wouldn't understand me. That was the whole message. Man, could you imagine? Like thousands of people show up and he just says that?"
