"Consider the word spoken in judgment to the wicked. Depart for me, you cursed, into the eternal fire," he says. Then consider the opposite sentence rendered for the good. "O God, what confusion for the former and what consolation for the latter?" He concludes with a resolution: I will confess my sins and accept all necessary counsel.
