I Voted for Him Three Times and He Won by a Landslide
I voted for him three times. But I thought that he had tempered himself, had become more moderate. He surrounded himself by pragmatists who vowed that he was going to govern like a social democrat and reign himself in. That didn't turn out to be the case. The landslide empowered him to create a mandate that the polls did not give him. And because he also won a majority in Congress, it gave him the political and institutional capacity to govern like an imperial president.
