Fire Walk With Me: The Final Seven Days of Laura Palmer's Life

10.4 million people tuned in for the final two episodes which aired back to back on June 10, 1991. That number is impressive by today's fractured viewing standards, but it pales in comparison to the 34 million people who watched the pilot a mere 14 months earlier. David Lynch returned to direct the finale, which sees Agent Cooper finally gaining admittance to the mysterious Black Lodge with its zigzag floors and black couches. He meets the spirit of Laura Palmer, played by Cheryl Lee, and she has a prophetic message for him: I'll see you again in 25 years. It was a bizarre ending for an equally bizarre show, and there were still many unanswered questions.
