The Lord's Supper in Paul's Day

Church gatherings in those days looked a little bit more like the Wednesday night church you might have been used to growing up where everyone gathered and ate a meal. But there the church was getting out of hand. There were divisions, Paul says in verse 18. And these divisions, every commentator I read would agree they were socioeconomic divisions. The rich were leaving the poor out of the feast. One goes hungry and another gets drunk. What? Listen, Paul's not talking just about the communion line,. okay? And saying, hey, somebody's, this guy, he took bread before this person. That's not what he's talking about. He's talking about the whole feast.
