Fisherman jack lamb almost drowned as a boy but became a fisherman anyway. He lost the leg from the knee down and now skippers his own 66 foot boat, the poncho. Rickye wants to get them answers at the union office. The phones are ringing off the hook. If half of what he's hearing about this spill is true, their entire way of life is in grave danger. There are ten million herrings on their way into the sound right now. They're going to be spawning se and the salmon are about to run too. This could wipe out the entire harvest,. But it seemed like a record-breaking fishing season was not supposed to happen.
