Is Free Will Unstoppable in Epictitus?
I don't see that will in epictitus is free will in our sense of the term. So we we actually choose whether or not to assent to a proposition in itself, then will is unstoppable. That's the Stoics age. Since nothing and nobody can either compel or hinder our will, it's entirely up to us to choose one action rather than another. I think they're very closely aligned here. And I don't think I have anything more to say on this except if you unless you're going to argue against my I do go on.
