There's been a sort of an exchange value holiday, he says. People have to find other ways of using their time with children. The left has built up a network of organisations and policy think tanks that are pushing policies relevant to this crisis in a way there wasn't back in 2008. But many platforms were already too powerful so I think it could be bad news for the government if they don't use some of those ideas socially productive.
