I Have No Idea How English Spelling Works
i don't know what it's going to take for other people, but i can say what it took for me. I have no idea how english spelling works. To children. And so i did that work, and then realizing i don't actually know english grammar. So i think what it takes for me was to realize, i have a lot of learning to do. But if i really need to be taxked with explaining how our language works to kits, i needed new strategies. This summer i did a lot of professional development. It was so helpful to be able to talk about linguistically responsive routines.
