Amer's plan was to figure out where they were going to sleep beforehand, sneak in while the gang was asleep. The biggest problem was that it was damned near impossible to tell when the barrow gang was staying the night or when they were just passing through. Amer figured the only way to take hem down was a good old fashioned ambush. He deliberately made it look like he was focusing on arkansas, missouri, texas and oklahoma,. And he made damn sure no one saw him in louisiana.
