The Challenges of Studying the Evils of Regimes

I can think of nothing harder than trying to study the evils of regimes that were intentionally, in so many cases, obfuscating their conduct. It's also so fascinating how much we don't know, but also how much we are continuing to learn. And there's more stuff that we're going to learn, you know, 100 years from now, we'll learn so much more. I commend Frank DeCottir on his trilogy on communist China since now and he's an excellent scholar.
