The Mnemonics of the Divine Comedy
Dante structured the comedy itself in such a way that it would be easier to memorize. All the bases of the mnemonics we still use today were written at least 90 years before Christ, but we know that actually maybe even a thousand years before Christ. So Dante, if you think about it, we have hell, purgatory and paradise, which are very big memory palaces. In this loc in Lócis, we have images with the contra passo, technically, that actually uses Dante.
