There's a lot of violence on the field, but there's violence off the field as well. I came across a bunch of articles talking about how fan violence has become more extreme over the years. Since the pandemic, specifically, now that football is opening back up and people are permitted to go in purson, some of the real like political divides and ideological schisms surrounding covid attention have made our tire culture more coltish. Combining the drunkenness from gating with the competition and the adrenelin, it's just a breeding ground for violence.
