The Importance of Civil Disobedience

I wonder whether you're trying to have your cake and eat it too, though, that. I do think civil disobedience can be justified, but a necessary condition of the civil disobedience is that it's likely to do some good. And it's not so clear to me that if we fire bomb a factory farm, that it's actually going to save any chickens. So then you're appealing to something like liberty, so you can't trample on the rights of humans. But are you not doing so when you stop people from eating meat generally, or is your view that you shouldn't stop people from Eating Meat?
