At the root of all our problem is superimposition, adhyasen. Not knowing that I am satchidhan and that I am the Athman. And then taking this body and mind which appears to be myself. Shankaracharya also uses some, what is called anumaana. Pashwadi Avishayasharth in order to prove that there is superimposability.
