Is That a Sonnet?

This is lewis mac nis's take on a sonnet. He has broken it up into sections to tell his story. It doesn't form the traditional rhyming patterns, but it does do what sonnets tend to do because they're divided sections that do different jobs. But listen, up the road, something gulps. The church spire opens, its eight bells out, skulls, mouths which will not tire. Tell how there is no music or movement which secures escape from the week. Day time, which deadens and endures.
