What's the Difference Between Content Designer and Content Designer?

A job post for a content designer mentions the words writing, writer or language 11 times. Why are so many companies calling writers designers? It's not enough to justify calling a writer a designer any more than it would be to call a screen writer a film producer. The work takes place in the context of creating or designing digital products.
