The right-leaning media got on Trump for what was obviously the right play, treating it with respect in public. The fact that I have to explain that to the news media, nobody got that. It was funny because the same people who believed that Trump lied about everything from the moment he was born, they believed that that was the one moment he stood in front of the public and said the truth. That was the situation in which the truth was really not called for. What was called for is not embarrassing Putin. Maybe you can work with him. Nobody picked that up. You just look at it and go, really, really,really.
