The Intuition That Human Beings Matter

I feel like fundamentally it's all kind of a bit arbitrary. I don't know exactly if there were other types of humans that walk the Earth. It wouldn't really make sense to say that the consciousness that evolved into human beings is just of a completely different kind and quality to the consciousness in other animals. Nobody's even close to anything, right? No one has developed language or the capacity for language like humans have.
