Major League Baseball's Pitch Clock Changes

Before the 2023 season, pitchers could take as much time as they wanted in between batters and pitchers. As a result, the average length of a baseball game became longer than it had ever been in the sport's history. The pitch clock has already had a big impact. Games are now averaging about two and a half hours, which is the shortest average game time since the 1980s.
