The way to stop being addicted to something is to stop thinking about it. What does it look like to not have anxiety? It looks like you just continuing to live your life, not even think about it. And so the difference between fuck happiness and let's think about how we should be grateful for things is that when you say "fucking happiness" or "f**king anxiety," are eliminating the meaning of the behavior altogether. We're transforming it into nothing into meaningless.
