The Case of Steve Cohen v. Laurie
SAC capital, Steve's company had emerged as a powerhouse in the hedgy world, the hedge fund world. He made his ill-fated real estate investment during the period of their divorce that on paper sliced his fortune from nearly 17 million to about 8 million. In August of 2008, she uncovered a 1987 lawsuit styled Cohen v Laurie. She learned for instance that after the divorce was finalized, Steve had sued Brett to recoup seven and a half million dollars of the eight he allegedly had lost.
