The Golden Age

A number of philosophers do this. You appeal to some sort of hypothetical before times to justify a certain set of positions usually political sometimes otherwise. I would actually argue that Rawls original position is kind of sort of a version of the Golden Age argument, but kind of twisted by the way. And you think that there was some sort of pre-society Golden Age and therefore governments are bad. It's a historical speculative nonsense. Hijigraphic at best. And sort of revisionist at worst.
