The Society Needs Stretch Goals

The chances of us being able to do anything, at least sending manned spacecraft anywhere, or colonizing mars, or whauld have you, is low. But that doesn't preclude things like unmanned exploration, asteroid mining and so on. And the society needs stretch goals, then no stretch goals. The theyre many, many problems, even aside from the enlightenment, with to day societies. We don't have any children. Everybody's old, everybody's rich, everybody's complaisant, but unhappy and alienated. I really have great solutions for those things, but i do think giving society a stretch goal, namely, space exploration, space, the conquest of space, will yield very rich
