I'm a third generation physician. My dad and my mam left south africa to come to the united states because they didn't want their kids to be raised in an apart country. I practise where my dad practised now meet his patients like every day, and it is so fun. They tell me stories from two thousand and eight. Oh, i hear dad did this ande i think for people who didi do that work to understand how to articulate it is critically important. We're not starting from zero. But we need those voices to show this has actually been normalized work in american health care for a long, long time. It just was never part of the discourse.
