The Battle of Künigsberg
Despite the near total collapse of the Prussian state, the war between France and Prussia had not ended. King Friedrich William had not offered or accepted terms, but instead had fled east, towards the border with Russia. By this point in our story, the king had established himself at the last major Prussian city free from French occupation - Künigsberg. With huge Russian armies massing nearby, the Grand Armée could not immediately follow. However, the consequences of these disasters remained to be seen.
