In the early days of a catastrophe and in other emergency situations we might encounter, the decision-making paradigm that Chris teaches could prove quite useful. He says it's much more useful to be able to ask the right questions than to think you already have the right answers. In some ways thinking about some future catastrophic event at a societal level, those same sort of things are applicable.
